Navy Bosun Mates Documentary

My latest film as a documentary on Navy Bosun Mates that i filmed when I was a student in college last semester. I have great admiration for the Bosun mates because they do all the work that takes care of the ships at sea. I hope ive documented their story accurately. It was a great way to spend a career. From starting as a non-rate hanging over the side with a chipping hammer, to operating a Landing Craft Utility with a 10 man crew and being trusted to drive a YTB tugboat at NavSta Norfolk, the busiest Naval Base in the world, as a CPO.

I don't know what will become of the rate, but I tried to carry on the knowledge that had been passed down to me. Good luck to all of you who wear the crossed anchors!

Its unfortunate the too many young people consider themselves too good to do such work....i NEVER did. After I served as a volunteer aboard a ship from Denmark and helping the cadets scrub the deck, take out the garbarge and other shipboard work, that was what caused me to want to join the Navy, to serve my country, to ask not what my country can do for me, but what i can do for my country...Even Gen. Powell said there is nothing wrong with doing a hard day's work no matter what you're doing.

well im actually attending college and have a pretty decent jobits not a great one but the pay is pretty good and thaks to the post 9/11 g.i bill bah its nice for now. there more to life than being brainwashed by the military to think that theres nothing out there your just not trying hard enough i will mis the free medical and dental tho

well good luck dude because I joined when I already had a BA degree and couldnt get a job just because I lacked experience and or couldn't fill a raciaL quota...now after serving my country and having tons of experience, im STILL asked that by employers and they still deny my employment.. I never thought that being in the Navy was bring a brainwashed robot. I always tried to do the best job I could while in the military even though i didn't care for some of the morons i served with...good luck!
