Outside McKeldin as everyone was leaving. I think the girl was attempting to go inside, but the police said it was closed and pushed her away.

  • Personally, I am appalled that the police let her wear that jacket. Aside from the horrible fashion statement, an animal may have died to make part of it.

  • Check out :22. What a tool. I hoped his friends smacked him in the face for that.

  • Ha, I was on the 7th floor, watching this go down from the window in the stairwell.

I would have come out and helped you guys fight the power.....but it was way cold, and I had to get cracking for a final.

  • BY the way, you all want to see some real abuse of power? Go call up the Riverdale Park police. (Right next to CP)

After seeing a friend of mine get football-tackled and tased 3 times, this is nothin.

  • @gonerogue: You are definitely correct.

Unfortunately, one just has to tread VERY softly when dealing with the poeleece.

Their job is to take charge of a situation, not to indulge the curiosity of a few random civilians. They're not supposed to be nice, per se, they're supposed to be effective and authoritative. That's what we pay them for.

It's too bad about the cops that get aroused when wielding their power and trip. It's up to us to force accountability, but in a responsible fashion.

  • @gonerogue Amen. Good luck explaining that to a generation of crybaby kids who think they rule a cookie-cutter world.

  • Wait, you tugged your arm away from a police officer, made a jerky motion, made a few comments, all after continually asking him why?...and only got pushed?

You should feel lucky. You can't treat officers like you would some random dude, whether it's fair or not....especially in a situation with a large crowd.
