  • could anyone tell me what the point is of a tent which has mesh on the inside, which allows the warm air to move out and cold air to move in...I know it's great in summer but on cold nights the tent is freezing inside. I am not asking this sarcastically, I really want to know:).

  • @anarky4321

If you're looking to save weight, this is a good deal lighter than the hubba hubba, 1.5 Kg vs 2.04 Kg. May not seem like much, but when you're hiking up mountains to your camping spot, every little bit counts!

  • @estopsteve74 That's because you love the cock and there really is little that you or any of us can do to change that.

  • I got my Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 from HumbleOutdoors for $285, it came with a free footprint and was delivered free of charge.

This is my backpacking tent. I has room for two, well made, light , and free standing. Big Agnes is can supply me with parts and accessories, if the need arises.

  • @lb5962 3 but it could do a small bit of 4 seson

  • tell te dog to shut up

  • yer ive been looking at the Hubba Hubba for me and my girlfriend.. it seems like the 2 door design is a bit more desireable for long camping trips. what season is the hubba hubba?

  • This tent is my favorite but seldom used. Flat grassy areas, sunshine, no hard wind or driving rain. Would love to change conditions and see the setup and takedown process again. Flimsy fabrics do not last long. In bad weather the vestibule is awkward but as worthless as most other tents. Ventilation is just as good as MSR but neither seems worth the money for the discomfort. Also, this one is very cramped with two people plus gear. The poles and clips are fantastic.

  • This is one of the best tent designs ever. Despite rough circumstances, mine has survived 4 or 5 summers in the Trinity Alps... and is still almost as good as new. Extremely light, extremely stable... and excellent 360 view. At first, I thought a second exit would be a big improvement, but I've learned that one is just fine. I've never regretted this gear purchase for a moment. (Hubba's a nice tent, too, but I prefer gear that isn't garishly colored)
  • i dont see any reason why someone would pick this over an MSR Hubba Hubba; the Hubba Hubba has a better H pole design and two entrances with great ventilation; if you've ever spent some time in hot humid rainy weather inside a tent you'll forever appreciate having two opposite facing mesh entrances
