A 1951 Henry J bracket racer that has been in our barn for 24 years. Going to start restoring it this summer, giving it a re-paint and fixing the body damage, especially to the left quarter, where the whole "fin" part of it got creased in. Also at the beginning of the video is a 1958 Desoto Firedome, which was also in the barn, first one actually.

Going to be video documenting the restoration of the Henry J, so keep checking back! =)

  • a car named after a guy?

  • @jacktheripped ...1000 pould motor and trans.

  • Heh, this reminds me of when I had a '53 Henry J and a friend wanted to put a 392 and cast iron auto into it. I didn't think it would hold up to a 1000 motor and transmission ;)

Ended up with a 215 Olds aluminum V8 with auto, ran pretty good.

  • i think id rather have the 58 belvedere

  • do do do desoto!

btw someone i know has a henry j id like to see more of it but i try to avoid it cus the guys one of the biggest bull shitters you ever heard!

  • Henry J,s make great gasser

  • I don't think I've ever seen a Henry J in person before. It's a cool find, but I'd have to say that '58 DeSoto would be my dream car. The one in your video even has the added chrome dress-up package that became available on DeSoto's half-way into the model year, I believe.

  • is that a 1958 fury to the left

  • Im trying to get me a 1955 T-Bird in someones garage. Its in beautiful condition. just been sitting for years.

  • I would have sold the DeSoto ......you take the Henry, slap in a 350 chevy spray on some grey primer and its on the road smoking mustangs in 2 months for dirt cheap. The DeSoto will have you in tears before long
