  • good match, but kid got his ass handed to him. everyone knows Ryan's game, so everyone know how to shut it down. the problem is that he still taps people out or outpoints them. must be tremendous luck :-P

  • I would hardly call this match "getting his ass handed to him". Sean escaped Ryan's back control and reversed it on him at the very end of the match. I have never seen anyone do that to Ryan in competition. Also, Sean is a purple belt and Ryan beats black belts all day long. He did a good job for anyone, especially for a purple belt. I never said anything about luck, Ryan beat him fair and square with his tremendous skill, but it was certainly not a domination.

  • Hall stopped at the end because time was about to be called. There was no "reversal."

  • Yes, I'm sure a seasoned grappler like Ryan Hall would willingly let go of his back control knowing there is only a few seconds left. Maybe you aren't familiar with competition, but if you are, I certainly hope you don't consider the fight over 10 seconds before it ends. Any serious competitor is going to hold their position until the ref steps in to signal the end. He tried to hold on, and almost got reversed. I can assure you he did not "stop at the end because time was about to be called"

  • Not true. Ask Ryan about it if you ever see him.

It was with about 5 seconds left and you can clearly see the point where he switched from the back to the calf lock and then just lets it go. Props to both guys for a good match.

  • Cool maybe Ryan will want to tell me about it some time. I agree, props to them both, it was a fun match to watch

  • Nice reversal attempt when Ryan went for the calf-slicer. good match. it's a good accomplishment to go the distance with Ryan.

  • He didn't get points for the pass. He got 2 for the sweep and 4 for the back to win 6-4.
