This version was a Finalist in the Drama category at Katsucon 16 (2010)

I was dissatisfied with the previous iteration of this AMV, so this version is expanded and has had the timing and video quality fixed.

I will probably leave the old version up for a bit, mostly because I really appreciate the comments and don't want them deleted. I will eventually take the old one down.

The cast of Evangelion reprise the roles from The Trial, the finale of Pink Floyd's two-disk magnum opus, "The Wall".

As much as I love Pink Floyd, I can never remember the song that plays in the very beginning. What is it? I hear it all the time but I just can't quite put my finger on the song's title...

@Larrylarp It's actually a combination of pieces cut from two songs. The rhythmic crowd chant is from the end of Waiting for the Worms (disc 2, song 10), while the guitar riff is from the beginning of In the Flesh (disc 2, song 8).

Evangelion IS the Wall, except with 75% more teenage angst, giant biomechs, fanservice, daily riboflavin, and penguins.

gorgeously done, My G! I especially liked how you had Asuka Langley play the role of the Scorpion Wife. you think you can use either Eva or any other anime to do a piece on "In The Flesh?" ? again, marvelous!

@DHeichel Ah, yes, thank you! In The Flesh was the one I was looking for. Don't have The Wall myself, just Dark Side Of The Moon that I got from my dad, so I can't remember.

Excellent, excellent editing by the way. Particularly Asuka's little segment. "BUT NO!"

Finally. Someone makes a proper Evangelion AMV to this song. The casting was perfect, especially on Asuka and Rei's parts.

Congrats on making it to the Katsukon AMV finals with this video. I would have loved to have seen this on a larger screen.
