realacting, depends on whom you listen to, but i've been monitoring the economic situation all over, and especially the thing that is going on with GM, i'm pretty sure that GM wll emerge as a better company in a couple of months, being on the uprise again, the time for failures has now come to a sudden end for them, that's when good ideas are born the most !!! so, now is the time to get the camaro if it appeals to you! you'll do good with it not only to yourself ! ;)

@RealActing I was raised on GM, and the '03 Impala we have is the LAST GM I'll ever buy. So many bugs in it that didn't show up until past warranty expired. I'm going to go back to Ford or look at Dodge.

They should reintroduce the Chevette with the ecotec. RWD and 260hp = ultimate pocket rocket.

If you end up leaning toward the Mustang, Ford coming out with the 400 HP Coyote V8 developed in Australia for the 2011 Mustang and F-150s. It will be more on par with the Camaro V8 especially with an Auto. If you are looking at a V6 Mustang, the Camaro 3.6 L V6 is the bargain of the decade and blows the doors off the Mustang in terms of performance, value and technology. Its the same engine offered as an option in the Cadillac V6 and is on par with the Nissan/Infinity 3.7 LV6. See Wards Auto.

Even though I like the new Camaro, I'm not a big fan of the bailouts. Obviously its hard to predict the overall economic performance, but GM is poised to move forward with its restructuring. Their revised labor costs are competitive with Honda and Toyota North American plants. The US government is backing the warranties of both GM and Chrysler. I hope GM does make it. But if it doesn't the 2010 Camaro would be quite a collector car especially an SS with RS package & 6-speed manual trans.
