There are many strains of cutthroat trout, upwards of 20. These are stocked but naturally reproducing westslope cutthroat. They tend to be light due to the Marl bottom, but all display the beautiful red slash on the lower jaw typical of Cutts. This particular strain of cutthroat is native to the many pothole lakes on the frontrange of the Rocky Mountains in Southwestern Alberta. A few of the shots look like bows but i assure you Mr. Crunkcrowson, they are indeed Cutthroat.
