its funny because when u leave the pillar of autumn and when u come back u come in the same way when u left

It's tragic to see the majestic ship the Autumn once was in this condition. The interior burned, the hull cracked, the weapons systems offline.
But even in this state, the ship became the ultimate weapon of humanity, as it destroyed the flood on Halo and so probably saved the entire galaxy.
Greatest cutscene ever.
