  • Excellent - thanks for posting! I'm just going to grab my banjo and head for the beach...

  • In Poland it is so cold these days, that you could rather think of playing your banjo on the snow...:-(

  • Not by George Gershwin - It's Phillip Charig - Music - Ira Gershwin - Lyrics.

  • I daresay someone's already pointed this out, but the composition is by Philip Charig, not George Gershwin. The industrial strength silliness in the lyrics was provided by Ira Gershwin, George's brother.

  • Love this tune since I heard Bertie Wooster singing it (in the TV series)...also great images of the holiday-season in 'illo tempore'!

  • Jean is great! And when Bix was on the coronet, better yet. Thanks.

  • The sparkling music is delish and the bright and sunny illustrations of beaches and bathers are dazzling.

  • Hello Grzegorz - this is a fun tune for the coming summer. The artwork - super cool - as always! Thanks for sharing!

  • Recorded on February 3, 1927, with vocals by "The Revelers" {Lewis James, Charles Harrison, Elliott Shaw and Wilfred Glenn}.

  • Love the COTE D'AZURE and those

    Bouncing BANJOLICIOUS Banjos!

    Thank you Grzegorz.
