I decided to make a little "ad" for a very nice book called "The Alchemist (A Fable About Following Your Dream)" by Paulo Coelho.

It's an interesting novel written in a simple but beautiful way. Coelho's amazing storytelling powers enable the reader to imagine each scene from the novel... It's one of those books you cannot put down. I recommend it to everyone :))

Originally written in Portuguese, it has, as of 2004, been translated into fifty-six languages, and has sold more than 40 million copies in more than 150 countries, making it one of the best selling books of all time.

there was a time when i could understand the world language!I was talking with the birds the wind and everything that was around me(the nature etc)i was receiving very deep information about everything!it was like a gift that i lost later because i was using it too much!There are symbols everywhere around us but not everyone is able to understand their meaning.This happened before i read the book of Paulo Coelho and i was very amazed when i read it because i understood that im not the only one

i loved this book. his book the pilgrimage is a great one too. has anyone taken a pilgrimage and know of how to get in touch with a guide?

@Maynard0504 one thing i got from the book is that children are already aware of their personal treasure and when we grow up we get distracted and lose this awareness and this connection with our personal treasure .. so in a way you can say some children are more lucky than some adults

@bohun28 it is all symbolic, if one does not understand the symbolism, then it is just a cute story. just like dream intrepretation, symbols are a language. if you don't understand the symbols it is all nonsense to you. like the parables, Jesus could not just say things outright, because most people will not understand. this book is really excellent, and i'm not having any sort of crisis : )
