This was our first night at the White Swan. I like to travel and have been in all 50 states and a few foreign countries. I have been in no name rat traps and some hotels that have been shown on TV for the upper class. This was the best hotel I have stayed at so far. I found the people to be very friendly and very professional. Breakfast was included with our room. I looked forward to it each day.

  • We stayed there back in October of 2004. Our room was opposite the river.

A very nice hotel, but I believe the rooms at the Marriott in Chongqing were a bit nicer. However, the rest of the White Swan was more elegant.

  • Yes took pictures of my fiance at the water fall, very nice place

  • dont stay at these hotels if you come to china unless you like to spend lots of money

there are TONS of places you can stay that have just as nice rooms with maybe less of a nice view for like 1/5 the price or less.

If you go to all the places advertised for foreigners you will get your pants ripped off.

  • the rooms are small i went there

  • that is my dad was a chef at the white swan hotel! and u know that river or lake is really pretty i went on one of those boats and it was lights everywhere

  • dude that's a five star hotel!!!!!!

  • I just came back from guangzhou. Seen a few people who were adopting children. It was very heart touching. The time and expense and love these new parents put in is unbelieveable.

  • i know i just went to kuming this year and the hotel sucks really badly. we dont need the a/c cause it was cool. and white swan hotel is a five star hotel too. i wonder is it the same with garden hotel. it is a five star hotel too :cute:

  • I thought the rooms in the White Swan where alot nicer than when we where in Kunming. The Hotel Kunming rooms where smaller and the A/C never worked.

  • Yeah, White Swan had that funky console that controlled the whole room - took us awhile to figure that out! LOL! We had a room that overlooked Shamian Island... You got lucky with a view of the river. (Personally, I hated their bathrooms! And the White Swan's rooms were so small... I wasn't impressed..)
