July 9 - Passing cars with us on Jalan Raja Chulan/Jalan P. Ramlee (2.53 pm)

Passing cars, taxis, motorbikes as the growing crowd of Bersih 2.0 supporters walked along Jalan Raja Chulan towards the Weld. There were cheerful honks, and passengers and drivers alike waving and fistpumping at us, smiling and grinning. "Maaf kami lambat. Jalan, jalan. (Sorry to slow you down. Keep moving, keep moving.)" "No problem!"

Throughout the walk, whenever there were vehicles approaching, there would be shouts passed along the line. "Beri laluan, beri laluan! Give way, give way!" And the crowd would split to allow traffic through.

The rain had mostly subsided by then, leaving the skies clear.

The crowd grew bigger and bigger.
