Bas Rutten Breaks Spleen (quick version)

This is exactly what happens in this 41 second clip which is part of a longer TV show: Bas Rutten punches an anatomical dummy loaded with a pig spleen. His strike breaks the spleen and is clocked at 1,300 lbs of force. The show then (not shown here) then goes on to explain that a real human uses flexed abs to protect themselves from this kind of strike.

@kenfo0 - "bas has punched people before, they have not suffered ruptured spleens" - Of course - because they were protecting themselves with flexed abs. That's the very VERY simple point of this video. Is it over the top? Of course - it's freaking Bas Rutten punching a pig spleen in a dummy. This isn't Duke Medical college. I get that. But they're using it to explain a very basic principle - flexed abs protect us.
