Oceanside is the best beach in Southern California. Kinda funky, kinda laid back, good surfing, nice harbor, best pier in the USofA. There is always some event going on there. The only time I don't like it is July 4th. Too many lowlife looking gangbangers come from inland areas for the fireworks. Overall, Oceanside might be my favorite place in the world.

Oceanside actually loves their marines like most of San Diego county. Also, the meth issue is just the same as anywhere else in the U.S. it's just that our downtown was (and still is a bit) run down. Our city is really shaping up though.

"California's best Kept Secret." I love the weather here. However, California is a Socialist hell for Taxes and fees. No, taxes on buying from out of state online. Can't but ammunition from other states and only 50rds at a time in Cali. Getting to where much of the parking is pay parking and the Communist government plans more taxes, fees, parking meters.. taxes on life, taxes on death. Born here, not likely to die here but flee to free and cheap. Too much gov with good ideas for your money

It was great fun watching this video...brings back happy memories of when I lived in Oceanside from 1979-1988, first as a Marine then as a Marine Wife. I feel privileged to had lived there, and I had a wonderful time.

Oceanside's a great California beach city. The 101 Cafe and Surf Museum are just two of the gems to be found here. Fantastic place on the coast!
