This is my tegu cage encsosure terrarium that i built all by my self i think i did a pritty good job it is 6x2 feet and is made out of half inch plywood the bottom has a frame made out of 2x4s to add support to the bottom and so i could have a base to work with i painted the bottom with 2 coats of polyurathane decksealer and 3 more coats or a gloss that was like the same thing i forget exactly but it is water proof and heat resistant the front of the cage is made out of 1/4 inch acrlyic sheeting that i screwed into the plywood after i put a coat of gloss on so it would stick even more to it when it dryed like glue and then screwed the front into the floor the the windo is going nowhere haha unless it breaks then that will suck and there are some moore detales that i dont want to keep talking about but it you have any questions just ask me

  • dude its not a very good idea to just leave live animals/live food in with your reptle. it could be very harmful to him. other than that great job on the nclosure

  • yes i know this but when i am there to constantly watch him a monitor the mouses and the tegus activity its no problem the only time i would leave a mouse in there un monitored is when i have to leave and go to school in a different state but my parents watch him and make sure that everything is ok and for a tegu its no problem to leave it in there one time the mouse just bit my tegu and the tegu got so pissed he fucked the mouse up so bad crushed himagainst rocks and ate him tegus are all good

  • sorry I'm confused I'm still not seeing any doors to your enclosure, do you have the top on hinges or something?

  • yes the top is on two door hinges

  • u prolly know more than me but i hear if you feed reptiles live food they might have a chance to survive in the stomach and can chew its way out

  • hahaha ya maybe with some other type of lizard that doesnt have strong enough jaws to actually kill the animal and just kinda stuns it and then eats it it might be possiable but not with this guy watch one of my feeding videos with him youll get the idea

  • lol those rats were in the corner probably saying we gotta find away out lol

  • @weezy6893 Not in a million years. The animal would not be able to chew out. Before it even started to chew out it would be overcome by asphyxiation and die. That is fiction 100%

  • sweet job.
