  • i had this done as a baby, i am now 26 and have never been restricted in anything ive done =)

  • Thank you for response. That is great to hear! We hope Benjamin has the same outcome which we're pretty sure he will. It's really great to hear of other people's success stories. It helps us cope with it better.

  • Dr. Morquende performed a tenotomy on Benjamin around 1-1/2 months of age after having 5 casts. Everything went well. They used a local anesthetic, but he still cried like never before. The whole procedure didn't even take 15 minutes. Shortly after the procedure he was comfortable again. They then applied a cast that stayed on for 2 weeks. By the time it was removed you could not even see evidence of the surgery. After the removal of the cast he received his foot brace.

  • I am sure Benjamin will have a wonderful future - there is a footballer in the UK called Steven Gerrard, he plays for England and he was born with club foot too, you should google him, just shows it doesn't have to hinder anyone. =)
