Jetstream JT220M BRIGHT LED FIX

I have a Jetstream JT220M and the Power button LED and TX LED are WAY TOO BRIGHT. These 2 led's are surface mount and I am not confident in my skills to put a resistor inline or replace it so another solution is to do what I did which is....
TAKE A BLACK SHARPIE and do a couple of dabbs on the led itself with the sharpie.

This toned done the brightness SIGNIFICANTLY for me.

Additionally I cannot stand the BRIGHT BLUE DISPLAY. I removed the BLUE LED and replaced it with a GREEN LED. It is now asthetically more pleasing to my eyes....ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT IN A VEHICLE !!!
