Fiendfyre takes the form of a fantastic creature and if you watch very carefully in the video, then you CAN see the two snake-forms blocking Remus and Nymphadora from crossing the fire. And when the pair is fighting the fire then you can hear "roaring, billowing noise". If you don't believe me, then look for it at HP Wiki.
