Heres a cool video of some drag cars from the NHRA that were taken with a camera that tapes the cars at 1000 frames per second. You can see all the belts, cylindres and tires in real detail.

  • like many people have said its beadlock rims, but is what also helps would be the wieght of the vehicle and pressure inside the actual tyre, causing friction between the tyre and the rim. think of it like a wheel, the nuts cause friction between the rim and the hub. without the friction between the wheel and the hub there is no way the stuts could possibly hold the power and torque of the engine. even on a normal everyday passenger car

  • @azim6709 Since so many people answered you, I want to answer too. Bead locks.

  • @azim6709 beadlock rims

  • Look like the tires are made of rubber xDDD

  • @azim6709 i use to think they do but the reason they dont slip is because the have bead lock wheels, this helps hold the tire to the wheel so it wont slip off and it will not spin freely

  • @azim6709 because the rims are screwed to the tire

  • BEAD LOCKS!!! you get that azim!! BEAD LOCKS.

  • @azim6709 Beadlocks prevent the tire from slipping the rim
