Philadelphia Fire Dept. En route

Engine 50, L12, BN8? (don't remember), Transit Police are responding to a working 3 story house fire that spread to a second home around 10:45pm on the 1500 block of W. Erie Ave in the Tioga part of North Philly. I even heard a few explosions just before the fire grew stronger and my clothes pretty much smelled like smoke. Eventually, traffic had to be blocked at the intersection of Broad st. and Erie Ave. for just 1 block going north and south on Broad St. so that fire fighters could connect hoses to hydrants in the area. Also residents within the immediate area were evacuated but everyone turned out okay there were no injuries sustained to any of the residents or firefighters thankfully. Red Cross were also on the scene to provide for those in need of shelter.
