The original soundtrack album was released July 19, 1968 and contained a 3 minute extract from "Interstellar Overdrive". The full length version of "Interstellar Overdrive" was released for the first time in 1990, on "Tonite Let's All Make Love In London... Plus" cd, along with the unreleased "Nick's Boogie".

I'm also working on " Nick's Boogie", "Stoned Alone" and "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun", all live from 1967 with Syd on guitar.

On an irrelevant side note, it's a sign of rock 'n' roll maturing into rock when most of the bands dropped the "The" in front of their names. I mean, "The Rolling Stones" still seems to work, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around "The Pink Floyd." It didn't come back in style until 20 years later (The B-52s, etc.).  On another side note -- my goodness! Syd Barrett must have scared the hell out of some people. He looks intense. Almost beyond human, a kind of beautiful creepiness.
