Little House on the Prairie - Laura Gives Birth to Baby Rose

After getting into an argument with Almanzo, Laura goes into labor. She sends Eliza Jane for Doc Baker, who also has Eliza pick up Caroline. Laura gives birth to her first child, a daughter named Rose. Later Ma presents Rose to Almanzo but he is still in self-pitying mode and can only comment that well, at least it's not a boy, because a father can't very well play ball with a son if he's a cripple (yeah, Manly was quite the jerk during this two-part episode, what can I say? Angstfest baby ;P)

@ZX2ManDave someone did get raped on the show, but it wasn't laura and mary. it was a girl named sylvia. you might be confusing that with the episode where a bunch of outlaws held laura and mary hostage in the blind school (season 6).
