I'm not American, but I've lived in the States for many years. That's a very unfair comment you made about Americans. Generally speaking I found Americans to be classy and concerned about their health and what they eat. Obesity sadly isn't just limited to the USA.

@mistaben2k - That was a very nasty, un-classy, uncalled for, rude and unfair comment. I hope you aren't a representation of the typical person living in the U.K.? I certainly hope not.

@SephoraBelle Bullshit......
There is a reason why they are the fattest on earth by a big margin, they are fat asses who are lazy as fuck..........

Are you male or female?

@SephoraBelle - Thank you for your words of reason. Sadly, there are some people who are full of hatred in this world and spew it regularly, as you noted. I have read many articles that the common food additive high fructose corn syrup is the main cause of obesity.

You mean the pepper mill?

Hello there. Yes you can buy chicken stock in cans or cartons at the grocery store. If you use only a small amount store the remainder in the refridgerator. It will last a couple of days in the refridgerator. IMPORTANT: If you do buy chicken stock in a can do not store the unused in the same can. Take it out and store in a sealed container, preferably plastic and keep in the refridgerator.

She added chicken stock "soup". It's made by boiling chicken with vegetables. It usually the base ingredient for making soups and gravies. It has a lot more flavour then using water.

Great video as usual. Do you know what the ratio of dry herbs to fresh herbs is? I always just end up guessing.

its interesting - everything I have ever read suggests that dry herbs are more potent than fresh, 1 Tbs fresh = 1 tsp dry. I, however, have never found this to be the case, and usually use slightly more dried than fresh when substituting.

Do you like the flavor of Yukon Gold Potatoes? Personally I think they have little potatoe flavor.. I think Idaho or Russetts have a much more earthier taste. Just wondering why you used Yukons in this recipe. Thanks for your daily efforts.

i love all potatoes, and i agree russet potatoes have awesome flavor, but they cook up drier and are ideal for mashing and baking, i prefer yukon gold for boiling and scalloped dishes. You can use any potatoes you like here, but the starch content varies so the finally product will vary as well
