Why Mom, Why? A Nick Jonas Love Story Chapter 6

Joni: It's too quiet.
(She walked to her stereo, and put a CD in, which I couldn't see, because she stood in front of it. Suddenly music filled my ears that sounded familiar, but I couldnt put my finger on it... Suddenly a well known voice filled my ears.)
Younger Joe: Her voice is echoed in my mind
I count the days till she is mine
Can't tell my friends cause they will laugh
I love a girl from senior class
(I groaned, and fell on my back, on Joni's bed.)
Joni: That's what you get for leaving me for months!
(I groaned again, but louder.)
Nick: Why?!
Joni: Because I love your old stuff.
(I sat through the entire album. It was quite embarrassing hearing my high voice, but Joni seemed to be enjoying the music. By this time I was laying on my back, my head on Jonis pillow, and she lay down on my chest, with my arm around her. See, that's exactly what I mean with acting couple-y. Not that I mind. Not at all! I inhaled deeply, inhaling her scent. I loved her smell, it was a mix of roses and vanilla. And her hair always smelled great too, and it was so soft... And her eyes... Brown, with some blue sparkles in there, you could easily drown in them. She also had a beautiful body, but that wasnt what intrigued me so much, it was mostly her personality and her eyes, which I could always read, even if her own sister couldn't. I gently stroked her hair. I saw her eyes close slowly, and soon after I heard her steady breathing. Suddenly a thought popped up in my mind. Just at the thought of her, my body tensed up. Why the hell would Miley want contact again?! Haven't I made it clear enough that I dont want her back? In fact, I hate her. She always tried to control me, nothing I did for her was good enough, and worst of all, she would always, ALWAYS say mean things about Joni. I just saw that my hands were clenched into fists, I tried to relax them as best as I could. In stead of thinking about Miley, I focused on the girl I loved, that laid on my chest this very second, I smiled, just looking at her. I gently kissed her head. She stirred a bit, but didnt wake up. I decided to look at her room a bit. It hadn't changed the slightest bit. Bright blue walls, with all kinds of quotes on the wall, written with black paint. It were beautiful quotes. There were some songs in between there too. Suddenly I saw a very familiar lyric. So Close Yet So Far, But In My Heart Youre Here With Me, You Did Not Leave, You Just Went To Live In Eternity. I know that was there because of her dad. It hit her the most. She was always a daddys girl. I inspected her wall more, and saw a quote that I really loved. "A Lover Will Catch You If You Fall Of A Cliff, A TRUE Lover Will Jump After You." I thought that was really beautiful, and also very true. I would gladly jump after Joni, thats how much I love her, I don't have any reason to live with out her. Okay, I'll have the support of my fans, but you know what I mean... I decided to wake her up. I mean, it's just morning, she can sleep later. I gently shook her. She stirred a bit, but continued to sleep. I shook her a bit harder.)
Nick: Joni... Joni. Hey. Wakey-wakey...
(Finally her eyes slowly opened.)
Joni: Huh- Wha- Did something happen?!
Nick: No, nothing happened. You just fell asleep. Just thought I should wake you up.
Joni: Okay... Thanks.
(I smiled at her. She got up, very much to my dismay, and stretched. I got up too.)
Nick: Well, what do you wanna do?
Joni: I was thinking about shopping.
Nick: Okay. With just the two of us, or with everyone else?
(I was hoping that she'd pick the first option.)
Joni: Well... I was thinking about just the two of us, that way the chance that they'll recognize you is smaller.
Nick: Good idea. Sometimes youre such a smarty-pants.
Joni: Hey! You have your moments too!
Nick: Yeah, yeah, yeah... Well, when do you wanna go?
Joni: What about now?
Nick: Works for me.
