The people that eat shark fin soup are eating their own garbage in Hong Kong, the people dump their trash in the ocean, the sharks eat it, people kill the sharks, and eat the shark.

Less sharks = more fish that the sharks used to eat!
(and as long as we eat them fast enough before they get to consume the fish below them fast enough... we can eat our way down the food web one trophic level at a time with relatively little consequence lol.... sooner or later we'll be down to eating jellyfish and algae! but hey, Chinese eat certain types of algae, and jellyfish is delicious!)
It's the Chinese plot to take over the world! :)

That won't help. Sharks reach sexual maturity at about 20-30 years... No way to farm them for their fins... It must stop completely.
