You should check out the aluminum Snowsport plow design. And how they put it together it is so simple I bet you could do it with wood and the thick rubber or polyethylene blades as well. I been looking for an easy golf cart type plow. It has to be light weight and durable. So the use of wood, aluminum, polyeurothene, or rubber. Are actually good practical idea's.

It looks like a great build but I bet where the whole thing joins up at the pivot point is weak an d is going to break. Better to make that area out of all metal and just insert the rear main wood spar and the front pivot point into it. How did it work out? Any modifications? thanks for the great video.

@lewandlo I did break it at the pivot point. But it was re-built the next day, this time with hardwood maple instead of pine (should have done that in the first place) and I wont be trying to move rock hard snow with one side of the blade. Next time I plow I'll make a follow up vid.

Just broke the blade pivot point yesterday! Got greedy and tried to side cut a solid snow pile and it snapped!. But today it's re-built with hardwood maple instead of pine. Should have used a hardwood on the pivot pieces in the first place.
