@HELLSPAWN1973 exactly, if i win a lotto and don't need to work full time, i'll get a studio full of old vintage gear plus new analogs from dave smith, moog, analogue solutions, jomox, the spectralis groovebox, a couple of analogue sequencers, a nice modular wardrobe and the alesis andromeda, then i'll be in tweak heaven till i die :)

@onnolab: I beliebe you! A Macbook is fine - no cables and more room/space on the table :) But hardware-machines got their own dynamic sound and flair. I work also only with PC for some years, but every half year I come back to hardware-synth and samplers. It is harder to get what you want, but mostly it sounds better and you can be more proud of the result...IMHO.

@HELLSPAWN1973 Actually, I've changed all that for a Macbook, Ableton 8, NI Maschine, and many plug-ins from Arturia, d16, Camel, u-he and Audio Damage. All because I've less time to dabble with separate pieces of gear, though I miss them....

@ChrisMcQueen85: more cheaper? there is nothing out there...
Korg Microkorg, Alesis Micron, Waldorf Blofeld, DSI Mopho - all in the same range - and the only true and cheapest synthesizer in space. OK - you can get an Roland JV-1080 for about 170€, but it will dissapoint you, if you wanna do any style of electronic music wie modern and fat sounds. So spend 130€ more and get one of the named above ;)

looks like a perfect setup - 1x analog, 1x virtual analog, 1x Sampler, 1x Groovebox and 1x FX-Modelling.

how did u set that visualisation type on KP3 ? i dont remember if mine have
Sad you only used that Mp for a Master.... and the Micron sounds cheap ...but everything elses is cool...

@pimpleneck79 there're sounds from the MPC so it doesn't just act as master. Yep, micron's too thin so I sold it long time ago. it's also a pain to program, only 3 knobs and 2 faders! Much easier to program with my current midi controller and plug-in synths set up. Some plug-ins are fatter than the micron. Thanks for comments!

how do u sync up the temp with your gear?
emosk8er1323 1 year ago
@emosk8er1323 it's quite long ago, i can't quite remember. i must have used the mpc as master clock and the rest are slaves. all done using midi cables
