Conceptual prototype for a video transmission simulator using GStreamer and GNU Radio. A video test pattern 640x360 @25fps is generated by Gstreamer, encoded to 1Mbps H.264 in an MPEG-TS container. The transport stream is sent to GNU Radio using a named pipe, where it is sent through a GMSK modulator, mixed with Gaussian noise, then demodulated and sent to another Gstreamer instance for viewing. Note that the whole thing is running on a single laptop with a quad-core i7 processor!
