Can something be put on Jess so humans might realize she belongs to someone?
As far as keeping wild animals...she is not caged. She roams like a hippo would. Confining wild animals like hippos, lions, elephants I do not agree with. The need space to exercise. I don't even think large dogs should be in an apartment. They need to run to have a good healthy life.

I loved this story. Hearing about Charlie had me crying. I do, however, question the guy's so-called "hands-off" approach. They are very hands on in purchasing and transporting massive amounts of a food that wild hippoes don't even eat. As well as massaging her with oils at a time when wild hippo are looking for food. So, this guy is actually VERY hands on. He claims he wants her to be welcomed by the wild hippo, but he does things that blocks her from SMELLING.like a wild hippo. Her diet wil

Jessica comes when she is called by name. She knows to be gentle with puppies. I think Charlie had a crush on Jess...and obviously was not out to attack the vulnerable humans who were actually in his path. I thing he knew who helped him out of that pit. I wonder if he was smashing the dock to get Jessica's attention at night...Maybe she's smart enough to figure out her own love life...in her own time.
