Learn to cook. Spend a fortune on good ingedients. I mean, eat well. However, eat light for the most part other than some good meals and keep moving. Don't eat fast food (except once a month--it makes you feel like shit). In essence, learn do do the damn dishes. Use tupperwares and put the leftovers there for your microwave lunch. It will be much better and you'll get thin with a little bit of exercise. That's all. European common sense. Economic and tasty and easy.
I know what you mean about not being able to outwork a bad diet. I worked out 4-6 days a week this past month, ut because of a family christmas party a week ago I still gained one pound this month
