@LP4939 - im a geordie too, its why aye man, i can assure you. oh and great song btw, this man is one of my main inspirations, thakns to this song i learned the guitar, and can play quite well now, top stuff!!

@Adammm1992 It's more similar to "Alright." In north-west England, people say "Alright mate" as a greeting.
"You coming to the pub later?" "Why aye man" fits, but it can also be "Why aye man" as just a greeting.
"Why aye man!" "Why aye!"
