@3211Victoria Because George Peppard was whining about the pre-cursors he had to go through, and decided to talk about it. NBC, as a private establishment, refused his further services, and decided not to air his grievance. However, he could have put it out anywhere, and the only ones that could stop him were the publishers.

I think this was funny. The man (G. Peppard) was just talking. Some of it was legitimately humorous ("you won't cheat, steal, KICK YOUR MOTHER", something he just threw in obviously). People are a bit too sensitive. He didn't get up and start shooting people. He just had a grievance. Whatever.....

This is why Allen Ludden is a game show host with class. I will bet you anything that if Bob Barker were hosting this show, he would've given the same response in the same manner.
