  • is there any firmware update coming soon for these models?, because both lacks JPEG compression setting and RAW format

  • Is the sony dsc hx100 compatible with a (class 10 SDHC) 32 GB memory card?

  • how does the hx9v compare to the tx10

  • @milionis No, it's not solved. It still kicks out the lens cap. What can we do? :)

Well, I've tied my lens cap to the side of the camera with the string provided. Can be tied to the strap also.

  • what about the low light photo quality of the hx100v ??.... is it good or should igo for cannon s95 ?..

  • Hello! Thanks alot for the useful information, I am about to buy this Camera ,

What king of Flash Memory it can be the best for this model? to be fast to take 3D pictures and video?

  • which is best for a starter .. Nikon D3100 (DSLR) or sony HX100V .. Please suggest with valid reasons ..

  • who ever chooses the olympus xz-1 over the hx100v is a damn idiot

  • Missing: 360d swivel 4.00” LCD screen, Sweep 360 deg panoramas, Interval timer: time-lapse adjustable to needs from 1sec. ~ 24h. shooting for still & video. HD video slow motion option 120~240~360fps. Stereo headset jack/wireless for recording and playback. Remote control for taking pictures/video at a 30m+ distance on tripod.

Red dot light on menu button, hard to find in the night. LCD monitor foldable Hood.

Lens filter screw. Rubber/Metal lens hood. Rubber eye hood. Flash hot shoe?

  • On my 2 year old HX1, Power switch opens and kicks my lens cap off, this is insane when one needs to transfer pictures to your PC or you want to see pictures in memory while not shooting, my DSC-T200 has a power switch option that does not activate the lens.

was this solved in the HX100V?
