I hope you like it. This car feels very slow, and it is when taking the power it is supposed to have into account. That Isuzu engine is just not good in any way, shape, or form.

Its not really the engine! Just look how heavy the car is! It has 200 kg plus compare with a Golf variant! Of course the engine is an old consturct, but in this category the small disels not really impressed anybody, i hate the VW 1.6 liter disel to. I think u have to buy 2.0 liter disels to enjoy the ride with these compacts.

@killer576 You are right that this car is heavy compared to its competitors. That’s not the engines fault, but that doesn't make it a good engine. There are several other things like the power band, which is narrow compared to other diesels like it, and it also has a problem with stalling when trying to get moving from a standstill. Several motoring journalists also point this out.

also i think due to the fact you have sports tourer model will be a heavier car than a normal astra 5 door. it does seem a bit too slow as my friend had a astra j, same engine and same power. his acceleration was better than your astra's. get your engine checked maybe it could be producing less power.

I dont have any experience about this disel, but i belive what u sad. The good news there is a new version with 130 hp, and it has many good review by journalists. But of course its a bad news for people whos already buy it with 125HP.
