its mostly for mobility, when my dad was in Afghanistan he had to carry one along with everything else he was carrying at the time, now i'm not sure it affects accuracy at all, but he said it was a pretty nice weapon.

That rifle is the "A-1 IZZY" model - it has the M-16A1 style handle/sights and the IZZY muzzle break. I have 2 of those rifles - one with plain sights and I mounted an EoTech XPS-2 Holosight on the other. They have been reliable and shot well for me. I also prefer the handle style AR's over the flat tops.

I have the same gun but with the superlight barrel. I LOVE it. No matter what anyone says, Bushmaster makes a WONDERFUL rifle.
