@AfricanPrince To expand on this, due to the mutations found in our second chromosome when compared to chromosomes of apes today, we've discovered that we have a common ancestor with the great apes of past generations. It's still unknown exactly what ancestor that was, but it's definitely certain that we evolved from something and didn't just materialize out of thin air. Like the "holy" book teaches.

Chimps and humans are decendant from a common ancestor. There was a split where some evolved into humans and others stayed as chimps

Funny how ignorance (in this case, the false idea that we evolves from modern-day apes) strengthens and reinforces religious beliefs. Smart people are either nebulous humanists or atheists/agnostics.

@country1611 You're also making the assumption that you can create an "explosion" that has the same attributes that "the big bang" had to create what we see now. This is also a fallacy. The big bang is a theory that explains how our universe is now based on the idea that what makes up the universe is becoming more distant from each other.
