This big guy is on the "Discovery Walk" where volunteers and junior keepers present some of the animals for up close encounters. There's also a petting area but they feature endangered domestic animals. I know that sounds a little strange but these are breeds of sheep and goats etc. that have fallen out of favor over the years and are only kept by a few breeders who are interested in them.

All Children's Zoos should have animals like this instead of domestic animals!
I especially love this kind with the spurs on the carapace.
