@lincsposter I don't know. most ppl who like these like it cos its from their childhood, nostalgic. i cudnt give a fuck about them back then but i like seein em now cos they remind me lol besides you can identify these with great 90s tv we don't want any reminders of the drivel you get nowadays lol

very good

I honestly believe this is better than the other one. Am I mad? This is brilliant, has all the landmarks in, has a wonderfully authoritative theme tune, it's ace.
-
@edgebet Well, you can, if you leave out the 'now'. Does give too much prominence to the 'and' though...
-
@tag1807 Actually, it was released in 1990, well before they lost the franchise in 1991 (I don't think they'd have spent money on a new ident, a mere 15 months before the end of broadcasting). It only started being used more frequently after that franchise loss announcement. Oddly, though, they did for some odd reason revise the music in late 1991 - the original was much nicer.

Thames is sorely missed, All Thatcher's response to Death on the Rock.
-
This one was Thames' response to the loss of the franchise, effectively ditching the network ident and returning to its own identity for the last year of its existence. Sadly missed, especially by those of us fortunate to have worked there.

ITV must bring back the regional idents! Channel Islands, London, Central, Scottish, Ulster, Granada, Yorkshire and many more! We are all part of ITV! BUT we want regional representation! Why is "Hearbeat" Now ITV just says made by ITV! And why is Corie made by ITV yet we all know is is made in Manchester by the former great Granada Television? No wonder ITV has been fined record sums for not making programmes outside London! Birmingahm, Manchester and many other places had excellent studios!
