  • happeh Chanukah :]

  • @megablaster82 hi' the name of the song "anu nosim lapidim".

  • @AmosPressley

I agree. Its too ambiguous, without knowing Hebrew, without translation.

I can kinnda see the other explanation for it- ..but not really...

  • I wanna know what is the name of the music music at 5.10?

  • that's bullshit

  • I'm not too familiar with the story of Chanuka. I've only recently figured out the relevance of Passover and what that's all about. I guess maybe it's a hypothesis of the future hearts of the Jews.

This may be stating that tradition will become less important to them as long as there is still something mildly similar that occurs.

I certainly hope that if I'm right about the message being conveyed that such never happens though.

  • That is what I do not get. The story of Hanukah is about being true to tradition, and the heroes are those who valiantly refused to disobey God, even when others around them were willing to assimilate and syncretize Judaism away from the Torah.

In this video, the boy seems to be more than willing to syncretize and create an understanding that totally redefines what Chanuka is about.

If the priests could have used any sort of oil, there would have been no miracle.

  • I thought it was more of a take on what Hanukah will be like in the future. After all, the kid does start off riding a hoverboard. I think the kid was trying to stick with old tradition, while his sister was one for celebrating the new traditional way.

  • Yeah. I was kinda expecting a large outdoor Hanukkiya at the end of the video. Instead, we have Goths with lighted torches... scary!

  • cute!
