  • Mike how did you get to meet Steve Elkington ?

  • Long story short.....The phone rang. I picked it up. Elk was on the other end. :)

He just saw me on YouTube, was curious about something that I was doing and so he gave me a call to talk about it.

  • Steve Elkington has to be one of if not the most knowledgeable touring pros as he is an authorised TGMer having worked with Ben Doyle. Are you going to be working together ? You 2 should consider doing a golf show. What was it that he was curious about?

  • I would take the one of if not out of your post. ;) Elk earned his GSED under Ben Doyle.

We will be expanding on Secret In The Dirt together. More on that soon.

He wanted to know a bit about what I was doing. We talked about the sequence of things, the motivators and what got me through the ball. He reconciled that information, I would guess, with what he knew from working with the great teachers hes been around and from studying The Machine and determined that it was relevant.

  • The music is so loud, I can't hear what is being said.

  • Sorry about that, but this was just supposed to be like a Greeting Card so it was editted together without muchthought or worry about what was being said.

  • Elk's already moved on from The Move. What is it DOCD now? Next month it will be Peak Performance or something

  • Well, that IS what Steve said at the beginning of the video. :-)

  • The course looks like Fish Creek at Wood Forest...a great layout!

  • Hey Mike great video, it looks like you guys a had a great time.

How cold was it in Houston?

Bravo great video how old is Elk now.

    Stuart

  • Excellent video. Congratulations and I hope that you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  • This is just too good to be true. I look forward to seeing more of this. 30 years I've played golf and your insight is the best I've ever seen or read. I've always thought Elk had the best swing on tour. And now.... you two together playing with old school equipment and boiling it down to the essentials. Pure golf. The more of this you post the less drivel I watch on golf channel (which continues to slide downhill).

  • Mike,

What a great start to 2010 seeing you again!!

George Kelnhofer (One of the earliest GSED's) and myself have had so much fun watching your videos and and sharing them with our students you just can't believe it! You were truly one of our highlights in 2009! We will be eagerly awaiting Sevam1 and 2010!

I think I have all of Henry Cotton's books...can't wait to see what you guys do!

Make sure Casey has a role. : )

    Very Best Wishes,

Tom Losinger, PGA Master Professional and GSEB
