This is a very short taster from the absolutely superb new album from The Innocence Mission, one of the best kept secrets in indie-pendent music. Out now on Badman Recording Co., The Innnocence Mission gives us "My Room In The Trees", a solid return to form for the Pensylvanian indie-folk duo that has kept going for almost three decades now. As a band they have been somewhat obscured by a Christian Rock tag that they don't seem to care about at all, earning them a sort of cult status with their slowly and steadily growing "non-christian" audience.
My Room In The Trees is packed with magic moments, like this song - I'd Follow If I Could - and in my opinion it might just be the very best and most coherent album in their entire discography. Yes, this is definitely an album of the year 2010 runner up.
Nice upload! I'd lost track of the Innocence Mission for a few years. I will put this on my list of CDs to buy.
