Mali Music Unplugged - Damon Albarn and Afel Bocoum

In conjunction with Oxfam, Malian musician Afel Bocoum was joined in Mali by Damon Albarn for a special performance from the album Mali Music.

Available on YouTube are two recordings of Mali Music Unplugged. The classic Mali Music track "Bamako City" and a completely new track "Bamako". Plus Afel Bocoum himself explains the issues facing his homeland and neighboring countries.

i love this video and the message its trying to bring across. But.....the French translation is incorrect in a lot of places. May want to consider revising to accurately reflect what is being said.

Given that youtube is global and the audience for this particular video is likely to be very diverse, why would you be surprised that there are some which dislike it.Why would you even bother asking why? Why does it even bother you.Maybe the dislikers are Oasis fans. Maybe they just dont like the way Albarn pulls his cap down and strikes a pose. Maybe they think it's a subtle propaganda piece to incline public opinion toward the "liberation" of a country which happens to have lots of gold.
