http://blog.aquanerd.com -- Here is a small colony of Zoanthids opening up shortly after the lights have turned on. These polyps took several minutes to fully open, and the video has been sped up significantly to show the slow process. Multiple times during the day, Zoas will randomly close and open, whether it be from an animal disturbing them or some other event.

  • placement is really a relative thing. some people have success with them high up in the tank, some prefer them near the bottom, and others somewhere in between. i've found that they do well just about anywhere in my aquariums, but most often with high amounts of water flow.

  • what type of zoa?

  • @afrankdapimp12 radioactive dragon eyes

  • i'm using a canon t2i with a 100mm macro lens. very simple setup.
