Question: Did you really paint on unprimed wood? That's what it looks like. Was it varnished?

Yes, the panel was primed and sealed; good question. The oil paint did not sink into the wood.

There are still artists in the world who can paint very well. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it can't be done.
