www.ProGuitarShop.com- The Xotic BB Preamp offers a wide variety of guitar tones. It's capable of +30dB of clean boost thanks to the pre-gain stage which can take the Xotic BB Preamp from transparent sparkling boost to creamy overdrive. With an adjustable ±15dB two band active EQ, you can boost or cut both Bass and Treble which adds a wide range of harmonic content to your tone. The Gain is capable of adding just a pinch of overdrive or blasting into chunky hi-gain bliss! As with all Xotic pedals, True bypass is standard for eliminating any signal interference when it is switched out. Check out the hand wired, U.S.A. made Xotic Preamp Today!

The Xotic BB Preamp delivers crunch tones that will hit you in the gut like a baseball bat. The tones are definitely a derivative of the classic Marshall grind. Vintage Blues Breaker tones ooze out of this Xotic pedal. The extremely versatile bass and treble control give you added control, making any of the exotic pedals compatible with a variety of guitars and amplifiers. I think this pedal is the most versatile of the three. You can get anywhere from a mild boost, early Clapton tones, to AC/DC rock. The BB Preamp works very well with the RC Booster. The two are a match made in heaven. Between the two you can nail down all of your overdrive / distortion needs with a clean boost in the RC, a crunch tone with just the BB, and lead tones by combining the two. Aahhhh.... tonal bliss.

The Xotic BB Preamp will stay on the down-low, but you really have to work to keep it in it's cage. As soon as the gain gets past 12 o'clock, you will experience rich, crunchy rhythm tones and leads that will make your mouth water. The BB Preamp boasts some of the best string separation in a higher gain pedal. Take the gain to the top and bust out an open A minor chord, you can hear every string and every vibration coming from your pickups. Throw down a palm and it will chunk out with the best of 'em. Lower gain settings yield a rich, complex overdrive that clean up nicely when you back off the guitar's volume. The BB Preamp really does it all. All the controls are smooth and even through the entire sweep. The tone circuit adds dimension and character to any style of playing without losing the base tone of your amplifier and the true-bypass switch takes it all the way out of the loop when switched off (more)

  • Hi PGS ! I'm looking for a boost/gain/overdrive/distortion pedal to boost my rhythm sound on the dirty cannel of a Orange Rockerverb 100 MK2. I've got a Ibanez TS-9 but it doesn't seem to do the job : not enough volume and to much high end. Do you think this Xotic BB preamp should to the job ??! I need help please !

    Cheers, Will.

  • @willguitar83 - Yes, the BB Pre would do a fine job in that application. It has a much flatter frequency response and more output than the TS9 . You might also look at the Xotic AC Booster if you don't need the BB's gain. Thanks!

  • Pro guitar shop guys - Have you tried this with the AC15HH ? I'm looking for a pedal like this to go with mine.

    Thanks.

  • No we haven't. But it would get a pretty dirty tone if that's what you're looking for. The best way is to try one out with Your rig, since everyone's rig will vary. Thanks,

    PGS

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

can you you use this like a tubescreamer, to boost your solos if needed, thanks

  • @mrboverbro - Certainly. It's excellent in that application. Thanks!

  • OD/dist. pedals are used before the amps preamp, not in the loop. And if you've got an SS Crate, I'd suggest you save your money to get a good small tube amp first.

  • *facepalm*

  • @diegoarmandoblues Tried both out today, and the BB seemed way more versatile and sounds amazing, so i took the BB.

  • wow....i really love that overdrive tone where the gain is rolled back all d way and the volume all the way up.... Would i be better off buying an AC booster instead? i mostly play rhythm due to lack of band members

  • Hello andy! what do you prefer between this pedal and ibanez ts808? thanks...

  • I think am gonna buy this hottie.

  • Great demo again, thank you! I'm looking for a crunch tone for less gain sounds. I have a Mesa F50, but it's overdrive channel seems too heavy, and not sounding crunchy well. So which pedal should I use on clean channel to get some good crunch sounds? Much appreciate for responses.

  • BB Xotic,FullTone OCD,MI Audo Crunch box-Which one do you prefer for a Les Paul And a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.I am searching for a Marshally tone without buying an half stack on a fender amp.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Thanks guys, your're always really helpfull !
