A basic introduction to Firefox 4, produced for Tidewater Community College ITE 130 and uploaded to YouTube to become public knowledge. This video assumes you've watched part 1, the Internet Explorer 8 tutorial video.
This video examines the basic anatomy of a browser, including the title bar, status bar, back/forward buttons, address bar, search bar, menu bar, tabs, scroll bar, web page content area, and status bar.
It demonstrates how to add/delete bookmarks, and it explores uses of the "back" button (specifically, the "Broken back button" phenomenon created by redirects). It shows how to retrieve the browser's version number (helpful for technical support), and explains how CTRL + "refresh" works more powerfully than just a plain refresh. It examines right-click menus, the function of the status bar as a look ahead to the link's destination prior to clicking, and how to show and hide various menus. Lastly, it explains how to clear your browser's history.
