Jim Lehrer on News Hour and admits that he'd be too old to run in 2008 fro President.

Lehrer: Finally for the record, you have not lost your desire to be President of the United States have you? McCain: Certainly it's been put in deep cold storage. haha.. Lehrer: You haven't lost it? McCain: Well, in 2004, I expect to be campaigning for the reelection of President George W. Bush, and by 2008, I think I might be ready to go down to the old soldiers home and await the cavalry charge there.

  • McCain/Palin 2012: Let's fix our mistake.

  • The reason for abortion? JOHN MCCAIN. We never needed his lame ass. He has contributed nothing and killed thousands.

  • back when mccain was sane.

  • i think hes just being humble about it

  • "Hope I die before I get old." - Pete Townshend, who's now 65

  • I think the fact is john will say whatever he wants but when push comes to shove if john gets the chance he'll do it. I wouldnt be surprised if he runs 2012 if he has the opportunity, bit like Joe bidden saying how inexperienced Obama is but when he gets the chance to work with him he says how capable is.

  • you're all unintelligent morons who probably didn't get a college degree

  • During the campaign, McCain tried to distance himself as much from Bush as possible. He claimed he did not agree, nor voted for Bush's failed policies. Yet in this video, he admits himself that he campaigned for Bush to be re-elected, signifying that he did in fact agree with Bush on most issues. He really should have thought hard about running for president in 2008, to see if his past actions would catch up with him --for voting for an unpopular president.
