Superb. I love her meditative expression. I had never heard of this singer before; thanks to Mark Myers from the lovely JazzWax site, I'm now familiar with her. Thanks very much, Mark, and another big thanks to the uploader of this gem.

Jimmy Rowles was Carol's husband. In fact he already worked with Keter Betts and Bobby Durham, as he was part of the trio that backed Ella after Tommy Flannigan left in the late 70s

Wonderful -- thank you for posting this video. I only saw Carol Sloane in performance once -- at the Top of the Senator in Toronto -- and it remains unforgettable. One of the most communicative singers I've heard in a lifetime of listening ...
