  • Apheresis is among the most important donation you will do in your life. And it is so rewarding to you. Spend the time and save a life.

  • Apheresis changed the way I donate. As an O negative donor, I found out that by donating this way, my blood was more likely to help infants. I will continue to donate this way as long as I am able.

  • I get leave during the workday to donate. Annoys management but they can't do anything about it.

And I like saving lives too.

  • I too, am a blood donor. I started donating platelets 7 years ago. It is very rewarding. I try to donate every other week. With life being as busy as it is where else could I volunteer about an hour a week and do the amount of good that my platelets do. Please try it.

  • After donating 100 whole blood units, I made my first platelet donation this week. Although it was a much more involved process, I am committed to making it part of my regular donation routine.

  • To lydia308--I wish I'd donated that much when I was your age. Great job.

  • I am an O+ donor and the last time I donated blood they asked me if i had ever used the asphresis machine blood before and I said no. They told me a little about it and it was considered a double donation and I said lets go for it. When the other lady was setting me up she told me that before the weekend was up my blood would probably be used and that was on a Saturday morning and I thought that was cool. I love donating blood and am almost at my 2 gallon mark and am 28 years old.
